Food Pantry Listing
  • Check local community news and events websites in early to mid-November. For example, local news sites like Newsday and community sites like Greater Long Island and Patch often cover holiday assistance programs.
  • Consult church bulletins and websites. Many churches that host holiday meals will publicize them through their own media channels.
  • Call 211. Dialing 211 connects you to a resource specialist who can provide information about local food assistance, including holiday meals.
  • Search Facebook. Some churches and community organizations post event details on social media. Perform a search for "[town name] church free thanksgiving" or similar terms.
